Our newsletter is just that, an occasional email, from craftynotions, to keep you informed about new products, shows etc. Your email address will not be passed to other parties, and you can unsubscribe whenever you like.

Can I safely use my credit/debit cards on your site?

Yes! Our card handling is provided by Paypal on its secure servers. We do not see your card details - just confirmation that your payment has been authorised. It  is very safe - all payment processing uses the latest encryption technology.

Paypal does not give me the option to pay by Switch/Maestro

If you enter your country and click on the 'select' button, or wait for the screen to refresh, the full list of available card types will appear in the Payment Type field. For UK this includes Switch/Maestro.

 I still do not want to use my credit card online

That's fine. You can telephone us, send us a fax or use the good old-fashioned post! Contact details are at the bottom of the page. You can still shop online by filling your shopping cart and then printing it off and sending it by post with a cheque.

How big a problem is credit card fraud on the internet?

It is a problem, but possibly not in the way that you might think. The risk of credit card fraud is said to be 100 times greater when you hand your card to the waiter in a restaurant than when you shop on the Internet! Modern day encryption technology, used by many Internet stores similar to ourselves, virtually eliminates credit card fraud on the Internet.

Most internet fraud is through the use of stolen credit card details obtained away from the web (that waiter again?), and used to order goods from websites. That card could just as easily be owned by someone who has never even surfed the net!

How do I buy on-line?

It's really very easy. Decide on what you want to buy and click on the 'Add to list' button! If you want more than one, just alter the number in the quantity box. On some products you may also have to pick colour from a dropdown list.

You can cancel all or part of your order until you finally hit the 'process payment' button after filling out your credit card details.  On the 'review shopping basket page' just set the quantity to zero to cancel an item.

When you have selected all your items, go to the checkout. Once you have specified the are to which the order is to be sent, the system automatically calculates the shipping charge.

You can cancel your order at any time until you finally confirm the order after having entered payment details.

Then just follow the clear on-screen instructions to fill out delivery and payment details.

How long will I have to wait for my order?

We aim to ship your order by the next working day, subject to stock availability and workload. Many orders go out same day. UK orders are sent First Class or, for heavier weights, by Royal Mail Standard Parcel Service, or Parcelforce at our discretion. Overseas orders are shipped by air so you get your order as soon as possible.

How are shipping charges calculated?

The Post & Packing charge is calculated automatically. Due to rising costs, a small charge is now made on all orders. For certain products (mainly silk and wool fibres) this will increase when the weight of these products exceed 1kg. The charge is shown on the checkout screens after you have entered the area to which the order is to be shipped. The charge is shown before you commit to your order, allowing you to cancel if you wish.

We do our best to minimize shipping costs and constantly review or charges to keep them as low as possible.

 Of course we will replace or refund faulty goods. If you wish to return goods for any other reason we will also refund the full price of goods. All we ask, is that you contact us first (within 5 working days) and that you return them undamaged and unused. Please note that we may require returns to be sent to an alternate address. Statutory rights unaffected.
