Lutradur

Lutradur is a spun bound non-woven fabric from the Vilene stable that is very strong yet flexible. Lutradur has an open structure and accepts paint, ink, and other materials to interact with a surface that is delicate enough to filter light.

Lutradur allows the artist to create interesting surface texture, can be sewn, but does not fray. Its strengths make it suitable for use in three dimensions. Cloth, Paper, Scissors featured Lutradur in the Winter 2004 issue.
