Moulding Mesh NEW!

New Moulding Mesh is a woven mesh that responds to heat opening all sorts of possibilities. The mesh is woven, but individual strands are not fused to each other so it can distorted and adjusted.


Wrapped & Zapped...
The green example above was created from two layers of mesh, which were wrapped around large glass nuggets. The nuggets were held in place with elastic bands. Heat was then applied with a heat gun, to 'set' the shape. The nuggets were then removed.
...Ironed and Stitched
The sample to the right was created as above, but then it was ironed between two sheets of silicone to flatten it, then machine stitched onto a background. Finally colour was added with Stazon permanent multi-surface inks.
